Special Programs

TMC Behavioral Health includes a number of specialty programs that address specific mental health needs.

Horizons provides outreach and education to community organizations and agencies serving adults aged 56 and older to help them understand signs of mental health distress among older adults and where to turn for services. 

Lakewood Counseling Service, located in downtown Lee's Summit, provides mental health services to individuals and families in an outpatient setting.

Compulsive Gambling Addiction Treatment, located at Lakewood Counseling Service, specializes in treating individuals, spouses, significant others, and family members who are affected by and suffering from compulsive gambling.

Community Assistance Program provides rehabilitative case management services designed for individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness, who require a significant level of support and treatment to live in the community.

Drug Addiction Recovery offers quality treatment, relapse prevention and continuing care services to our patients who suffer with substance abuse.  The ultimate goal is to eliminate abuse of and dependency on mind-altering substances.

New Frontiers is a Life-Skills Rehabilitation Center for persons with serious mental illness that provides a variety of skill-building and supportive activities to promote overall health and wellness.  Services are provided in a beautifully renovated setting that includes a full commercial kitchen, computer lab, coffee shop, art room, exercise/wellness classroom, clothing and food pantries, and vegetable and flower gardens.
