Corporate Academy
Whether you want to complete a
Master’s degree or try your hand at photography, Corporate Academy has a
class for you. Courses in these areas and in many other subjects are
available to all TMC employees, volunteers, and their families on-site and
online through the TMC Corporate Academy. This pioneering venture on both
the Hospital Hill and Lakewood campuses is a first not only for TMC but also
for the state of Missouri. This unique benefit provides career and lifelong
learning opportunities on-site and online. The courses offered include
language and communication courses, training in computer skills, and courses
to provide care for the TMC caregivers. Still other courses will help you
prepare for and successfully complete the GED, plan for your retirement, or
embark upon an advanced degree.
Continuing Medical Education
Truman Medical Centers
sponsor various learning opportunities for medical professionals. We work in
collaboration with the clinical departments of Truman Medical Centers and
other health-related organizations, including our affiliated Medical School,
the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Sponsored activities are targeted
to physicians around the world who practice within the specialties
recognized by the American Medical Association. Recognizing the benefits to
be gained from interdisciplinary forums, Truman Medical Centers’ Continuing
Medical Education activities are available, as appropriate, to other
healthcare professionals, residents and students.
