NCHL Names TMC President/CEO John W. Bluford, III, Recipient of the 2013
Gail L. Warden Leadership Excellence Award

The National Center for Healthcare Leadership (NCHL), a
not-for-profit that works to improve population health by enhancing the
capacity of healthcare leaders, has named John W. Bluford, III,
president & chief executive officer of TMC as recipient of its 2013 Gail
L. Warden Leadership Excellence Award, recognizing the innovation he has
brought to the delivery of high quality and accessible healthcare
services to his community, permanently transforming the field.

Inaugural Bluford
Healthcare Leadership Institute Concludes This Week
June 12, 2013
TMC President/CEO John W. Bluford, welcomed 12 exceptional scholars from
four historically black colleges/universities: Fisk University, Lincoln
University, Morehouse College and North Carolina A&T State University;
and the University of Missouri – Kansas City (UMKC) to the inaugural
Bluford Healthcare Leadership Institute (BHLI) this past week. The BHLI
was founded by Bluford as a way to use his more than 40 years in
healthcare to help develop the next generation of leaders and it is
supported by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the American Hospital
Association, the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health
Systems (NAPH), the Healthcare Foundation of Greater Kansas City and

TMC Charitable Foundation Names Karlyn B. Wilkins as Executive Director
June 11, 2013
TMC is pleased to announce the appointment of Karlyn B. Wilkins as
Executive Director of the TMC Charitable Foundation. Ms. Wilkins began
in her new role this week and replaces the retiring James D. Dawson, who
has been with TMC since 2007.
