The Sports Medicine Clinic at Lakewood is staffed by a team of seasoned professionals, all experienced in treating the medical needs of athletes and others with musculoskeletal complaints. With sub-specialties in adolescent medicine, all staff are actively involved in supporting organized youth sports programs throughout Eastern Jackson County with on-site medical services for athletic events, from gymnastics to high school football. Lakewood's Sports Medicine providers are also the exclusive sports medicine providers for all of UMKC's athletic teams.

Patients of all ages are seen in this clinic. Services include pre-participation exams, evaluation and treatment of acute injuries, exercise prescription and counseling, on-site rehabilitation, exercise stress testing, and osteopathic manipulation by referral.
